This text is written on the base of the Mexican Pillar of Shame:

A Sculptural Outcry

This sculpture has been erected to denounce the encroachments of the Mexican State on the indigenous population. May the victims be remembered and honoured forever; and may the perpetrators be brought to justice and tried for their crimes against humanity.
