The two gatherings will appear as an integrated project
The project evolves around the Rio+20 Summit the 13th-22nd June 2012. The summit marks the 20th anniversary for the 1992 summit in Rio de Janeiro on environment and development, which lead to e.g. the Agenda21 declaration and paved the way for the Kyoto protocol and the COP climate summits.
We will use the summit to renew public and media attention to sustainability and climate issues. We will create local and international media attention with a sustainability parade and live transmissions between Rio de Janeiro and Folkemødet at the isle of Bornholm, Denmark.
Project activities will take place at two interconnected locations to create an intercontinental art manifestation; Folkemødet, Bornholm and Flamengo Park, Rio de Janeiro. Below you will find concept and documents for each location as well as links to program, brochures and flyers.
This website will continually be updated with news and documentation from the activities.
Friday the Danish Minister for Environment Ida Auken will visit Flamengo Park around 9 AM (Rio-time) and she has promised to come around the AIDOH-pavilion.
